Our mission: to share the love of Christ through the art of dance.
We seek to empower and encourage students in 6th – 12th grade to use their gifts for the glory of God through mission-oriented events and performances.
Perform with our main company 1-2 times a year, participate in outreach opportunities in the community, and grow technically and artistically during weekly rehearsals and classes.
Performance opportunities include...
A full length production surrounding a Biblical passage or theme (i.e., Easter, the Lord’s Prayer, testimonies)
Joining local churches during Sunday worship
Retirement homes and community centers
Festival and fundraisers in Harrisburg
& more!
Our Youth Company rehearses on Friday afternoons from 4:30-6:30 pm in Mechanicsburg, PA.
Dancers should be entering 6th-12th grade at the start of the school year and have a minimum of 1-2 years of dance training. Enrollment in a weekly technique class at a local studio is required.
Auditions for 26-27 will be held on June 3rd, 2026. Stay updated on opportunities to join.

Testimonials
I believe that because of EncounteredHeart, I have a healthy relationship with dance as something that is both a safe place to try new things and a challenge that requires effort. Through my experience, I know that dance can be rooted in encouragement, worship, and ministry, and it continues to be a way I connect with God and others.
- Reagan U, dancer
We’ve watched our daughter grow in her faith and dance joyfully with Christ in her heart. We are so grateful for EncounteredHeart and the many ways the teachers, dancers, and performances have moved us and the community.
- Jami Powell, parent
During my time with this ministry I grew in technique and artistry as a dancer, and gained valuable experience in areas I was less confident in, such as choreographing and improvisation. Most importantly, I formed strong relationships with those in the company and grew in my faith through the themes and devotions that were shared.
- Abi B, dancer
I have seen my students grow in their musicality, contemporary dance technique, and overall confidence as a part of this ministry, but perhaps the greatest blessing for them is the dear friends they make as a part of the youth company.
- Kirsten Kline, Owner/Artistic Director of Reverence Studios
EncounteredHeart Youth Company has impacted both my spiritual journey and my dance technique. I learned that I am not dancing for myself but am dancing for Jesus and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
- Alexia K, dancer
When Encountered Heart started their youth company, having my daughters participate was a no brainer. As I watch them grow as young adults and dancers, I am so grateful for the blessing EncounteredHeart has been in our lives.
