Performance & Outreach Team

This group is dedicated to performing with EH and is for dancers who are seeking a creative outlet and a Christ centered community. Our hope is that the Performance & Outreach Team is a place for dancers to grow in their understanding of dance ministry, develop leadership skills in a safe environment, and draw closer to the Lord through movement. Dancers will be cast and learn pieces based on ability and availability. 

Dancers commit to:

  • The fall season (Aug - Dec) or the entire season (Aug - May) of EH. The fall season is focused on learning pieces for the Fall Performance and may include 1-2 outreaches. The winter and spring seasons are dedicated to workshops and community events/performances.

  • Leading in small ways when asked (warm ups, devotional, tech class, prayer)

  • Understudying one dance piece

Dancers are encouraged to:

  • Help with/participate with the Winter Showcase and/or EH’s annual conference for dancers (Renewal)

  • Teach or assist 1 Community Class

Application/Audition Process:

  • Dancers apply, audition and interview to be a part of the Performance & Outreach Team.

FAQs

Where and when does the Adult Company rehearse? The Adult Company (which includes both the Leadership Team and Performance & Outreach Team) rehearses on Mondays and Thursdays, 7-9pm, at Studio 91 in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Do I have to commit to the whole year? There are two commitment options:

  • Commit to the fall (Aug-Dec).

  • Commit to the whole year (Aug-May).

Do I have to attend every rehearsal? While you do have to be regularly available on Monday and Thursday evenings, you’ll attend choreography rehearsals based on the dance pieces you’re in, and the event rehearsals based on your availability for each event. Dancers can decide (in coordination with the director) how many dance pieces they can commit to and can decide which events they commit to.
