Desiring to remain rooted in Christ, our mission is expressed in three pivotal areas: Company, Community and Missions.

COMPANY

Teaching and training dancers through one-day workshops, summer dance intensives, community classes, and regular company rehearsals.

COMMUNITY

Performing and sharing our created work with both Christian and non-Christian audiences. Our company partners with churches, community centers, rehabilitation and correctional facilities, youth homes, and with other dance companies in the larger region.

MISSIONS

Serving internationally by teaching, performing, and sharing the gift of dance in other countries. Our teams have traveled to Mexico, Colombia, Israel, Romania, and Senegal.

Our Name

Our name originated from the desire to encounter the heart of our Father—when one encounters Him, they are forever changed.

We have seen Jesus move powerfully in the hearts of those we have partnered with and lives have been transformed through movement, prayer, and connection.

EncounteredHeart is a prayer that every man, woman and child will encounter the love of Jesus.

Our Story

EncounteredHeart was born with a strong desire to see artists come together to glorify Jesus in unified community.  In 2008, Hope Noble moved to Harrisburg, PA out of obedience to the Lord to start a dance ministry. She had no direction other than that: to establish a dance ministry in the area that would bring artists together to share the gospel through dance. Over the first few years, Hope met a small handful of women who shared the same desire. They met at a local YMCA or churches to choreograph and rehearse pieces to then share in the community.

As time went on, the Lord gave Hope the peace to pursue becoming a non-profit organization. With much prayer and financial provision, the ministry was officially a 501(c)3. The Lord is the One who grew EncounteredHeart to what it is today. He is the One who sustained it through many different seasons.
