From the age of 8 until her senior year of high school, Moriah trained and performed with the Virginia Ballet Company & School in northern Virginia. She enjoyed learning to dance modern, jazz, character, and hip-hop, but classical ballet was the style that stole her heart from the beginning. After being blessed with the opportunity to perform lead and supporting roles in full-length ballets such as the Nutcracker, Coppelia, Swan Lake, Don Quixote, and the Firebird, Moriah attended the Joffery Ballet in Chicago during the summer after high school. She was excited to start accomplishing her dreams of being a professional ballerina, but the Lord had other plans for her.
Trusting in Him, Moriah went to Messiah College in the fall of 2013 to study dance and nutrition & dietetics. There she was introduced to the concept of using dance to bring glory to God and for the first time, began exploring how her faith and dance could be connected. Since graduating in 2017 from Messiah with degrees in nutrition and dance, Moriah now works at Athena Warrior Fitness in Carlisle, PA as a nutrition coach and personal trainer. As God continues to show her how dance can be a tool for ministry, she desires to use dance to tell stories and bring His light and hope into the lives of others.
